Book Launch: I'M FINE! With Rob Nugen
I'M FINE! book launch with Rob Nugen at Page & Turner Bookshop, Adelaide

An immersive experience to manage your emotions and your inner critic, to strengthen your relationships with your loved ones and yourself.

Buy a ticket (A$27.78) ยท or get tickets on Eventbrite

Are you feeling disconnected, numb or unsure how to let anyone in?

When someone asks you how you are, do you say you’re “fine” but deep down you’re not fine at all?

Do you find yourself struggling to ask or receive support but just don’t know how?

You’re not alone and you don’t need to carry this silent burden anymore.

I published this book for men however women have been wanting to access this information too for themselves and to understand the weight that men carry to bury their emotions in order to present a false sense of masculinity that they can take it all.

If this speaks to you, I invite you to join me for my interactive session to understand and work with your emotions without losing your strength; break the lifelong patterns that keep you shut down and distant; show up with honesty, courage and self-respect in your relationships and lead your life confidently, aligned with the person you know you can be.

This special book launch involves…

๐Ÿ“– A Signed Copy: Upon arrival or before departure, you will receive my book, signed by me to continue your journey once this event is over. You can pay this book forward by signing your name and pass it onto the next person who’s in need of it.

๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ Opening Circle: Check-in where you’re at with yourself in a non-judgemental space to connect with the group.

๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ Wellbeing Discussion: A conversation around Chapter 7 from my book, How To Reframe Your Inner Critic, we will explore how to deal with negative self-talk. If you speak badly about yourself in ways you would not talk about your friends, this process is for you. Find where the message is coming from and give it a new helpful role in your life!

๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Optional Hot Seat: One or more participants who consent to be guided and supported through navigating their inner critic to gain insight into a deeper self-awareness and a gentle way of healing a part of themselves.

๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™‚๏ธ Closing Circle: Check out, questions and wrapping things up.

This ticket includes a mini workshop session with Rob Nugen and a signed copy of his book I’M FINE!

Barefoot Rob's Mindful Sayonara Stories: Letting Go
2026 jul 14 blue cup blue whale thai lock snoopy glass bali box clockerchief nin cds 1000

Enjoy afternoon tea in a heartful community, discussing things we hold dear and the practice of letting go.

After 23+ years in Kanagawa, Barefoot Rob will be leaving Japan by June 2027 (yes, a year away, but time fliesโ€ฆ plus he’ll be in Adelaide for 3 to 6 of those months!)

This event will be an opportunity to reflect on the journeys we all take in life, a chance to share personal stories, and a chance for Rob to find new loving homes for some beloved items with unique stories!

๏ผŠ

The event will start at 14:00 with a meditation to slow down into the present moment.

After the meditation, we’ll explore how possessions become meaningful and why letting go may feel difficult. In small groups we’ll reflect on beloved items and meanings they hold in our lives, and how letting go can open doors to new possibilities in life. If you’d like, bring a sacred object of your own to share with the group, show-n-tell style.

After the discussion, Rob will share some stories behind his well-loved items that are looking for a new caretaker.

๏ผŠ ๏ผŠ

This isn’t a garage sale pretending to be a workshop, it’s a workshop with a garage sale in the back. Moving homes after 23 years involves practical decisions as well as emotional ones; I’m interested in exploring both.

This is also an experimental workshop, drawing inspiration from Japanese ใ‚‚ใฃใŸใ„ใชใ„, and the Hobbit tradition of mathoms: well-loved objects that outlive their original purpose but are too meaningful to simply throw away.

Come with an open mind, an optional sacred object to introduce. Bring a backpack if you’d like to take home something from Rob’s collection.

There’s no obligation to take an item. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Whether or not you take something physical, I hope you’ll arrive home with a new relationship to some of your own possessions.

๏ผŠ ๏ผŠ ๏ผŠ

The Afternoon

๐Ÿ“… Saturday 29 August 2026 ยท 13:30โ€“16:00

  • 13:30: Doors open - Arrive, welcome, order a drink, and settle in
  • 14:00: Meditation - A few minutes to feel grounded and present
  • 14:05: Musings & small shares - On the things we hold, and how they hold us

Cuddle Party Communication Workshop
cuddle party seated circle

What is a Cuddle Party?

A Cuddle Party is a non-sexual social event where participants practice communication and optionally explore platonic touch. Attendees practice setting clear boundaries, communicating their desires, and respecting each others’ limits in a safe space.

Cuddle Parties provide an opportunity for nurturing, platonic touch and intimacy, which supports well-being and balanced emotions.

While sexual activity is prohibited at Cuddle Parties, some light touching like hugs, caresses, and snuggling is allowed between consenting attendees of all genders. LGBTIQ+ friendly!

At a Cuddle Party, physical contact is optional. The primary goals of a Cuddle Party are to practice exploring consent and communication with others.

RSVP on Humanitix

https://events.humanitix.com/cuddle-party-communication-workshop

What do we do at a Cuddle Party?

We do two main things at Cuddle Parties:

  1. Practice consent.
A key part of Cuddle Parties is learning how to communicate your desires and how to respect others’ requests.
  2. Consensual platonic touch.
Optionally experience and appreciate caring touch from other like-minded people.

Weโ€™ll start with an Welcome Circle to get us settled. Weโ€™ll then go through the rules of Cuddle Party in a mini communication workshop, allowing participants to practice inner awareness and clear expression of boundaries.

After the communication workshop, we’ll have 2 hours of Self-Directed Connection

Now it is time for you to ask for what you want, say yes and no to
requests and invitations, cuddle according to your desires and comfort
(or just talk if you prefer), connect with fascinating people,
"cuddle mingle," and, ultimately, relax into the flow of an unusually
playful and respectful social environment.

Some participants cuddle in groups, others one-on-one,
while some like to talk and not cuddle for a time, or not at all.
Cuddling can mean feet against feet, full-body hugs, head-rubs,
spooning โ€” it is, indeed, up to you.
And, configurations and positions shift significantly
throughout the event, thanks in part to Rule 6:
You are encouraged to change your mind.

from: https://cuddleparty.com/what-is-a-cuddle-party/

We’ll finish with a closing circle to reflect on our experience.

Testimonials

It was a great event. Thank you so much.
Hope more and more people will join the event.
For us Japanese, we don't communicate that much by hugging,
but I think people need it. Hugging helps people a lot to be feeling safe.
It was a great workshop.

ใƒผ Lily
I attended the cuddle party in February.
It had a profound impact on my nervous system.
The exercises we did while learning were heaps of fun.
I felt like I was a kid again.
It was a real joy to be learning through play,
about communication with myself and others about touch.
I would highly recommend it to all people.
I hope one day to live in a society where non sexual
touch is a welcomed, consensual form of communication.

ใƒผ Brett Waller
Rob definitely created a safe space for strangers
coming together at a Cuddle Party to connect with
one another in a warm, confident, fun, playful and
loving way. He was able to demonstrate very quickly
how to use curiousity to explore play and touch in
an intimate yet platonic setting.
I had such a fun time, it was beyond my expectation
of what a Cuddle Party is in my mind. I felt I received
a lot of healing from receiving and giving affection
and touch. It was fun to connect with the other
participants as well.
I highly recommend this experience to anyone
who is looking for connection, willing to allow
their inner child to play and express and receive
love through the power of touch.
I definitely will be coming back again!

Details

Do you struggle to be seen and heard by the opposite sex?

Are you desiring more sex and intimacy in your relationship?

What would happen if you could overcome these challenges in your life?

What would happen if you could discuss sensitive issues that no one talks about?

Brother, I hear you. Iโ€™ve struggled with these questions; Iโ€™ve been there and done it too.

Anything is possible with the right support and pathway. You can turn it around like I have.

Iโ€™m Rob Nugen, a connection coach for men. I help you discover your gold in your unique journey of divine masculinity.

I started my inner work journey with the ManKind Project in 1997. I founded ManKind Project Japan in 2015 and have grown in my leadership and facilitation skills, with over 25 years of experience and training to support men in working through the issues they face in life. Iโ€™ve been trained in ShadowWork, Cuddle Party, as well as a crisis hotline volunteer.

Now I’m bringing this experience to you in Sydney.

For 12 years I was locked in an unsatisfying marriage where I sought other relationships. Now Iโ€™m in a devoted passionate heart-centered relationship, aligned with my needs and values as a man.

Now itโ€™s your turn to discover whatโ€™s possible for you in sex, love, and intimacy.

Hereโ€™s what youโ€™ll experience in this circle:

  • Confidential space for you to settle in, so you can be fully present, authentic and vulnerable
  • Grounding meditation to drop into your healthy masculine
  • Open discussions around sex, love and intimacy
  • Learn why you are triggered by your romantic partners (and why this is a gift for you)
  • Raising awareness around our stories and projections in personal relationships

If you feel called to dive deeper in a private container, thereโ€™s an opportunity for further work with me man to man.

Feel free to share this event with other men who would appreciate this support.

Cuddle Parties provide an opportunity for nurturing, platonic touch and intimacy, which supports well-being and balanced emotions.

While sexual activity is prohibited at Cuddle Parties, some light touching like hugs, caresses, and snuggling is allowed between consenting attendees.

After the communication workshop, we’ll have 2 or more hours of Self-Directed Connection

We’ll finish with a closing circle to reflect on our experience.

Why?

Clear communication allows more harmonious relationships, regardless of the context.

Nurturing and consensual touch supports a healthy life, strong nervous system, and balanced emotions.

Testimonials

It was a great event. Thank you so much.
Hope more and more people will join the event.
For us Japanese, we don't communicate that much by hugging,
but I think people need it. Hugging helps people a lot to be feeling safe.
It was a great workshop.

Rob, you are fantastic.
There really should be more events like this,
which have great potential to heal this broken world.
Our society would be so much better if we learned
this type of communication at school instead of things
like algebra and geometry that most of us never use and
forget as soon as the course is over.

ใƒผ Andy Boerger
