Touring Mapple 3 — 関東甲信越 (Kantō-Kōshinetsu) — Shōbunsha. A motorcycle / touring road atlas (1:140,000) covering the Kantō and Kōshinetsu region (Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagano, Niigata…), with routes, onsen, lodging, and a foldable waterproof planning map.

The story: this is the single map book Rob used to ride his bicycle round-trip Tokyo → Kyoto → Tokyo. It still carries his handwritten date stickers from the journey (early April 2006) — a travel diary written in the margins of the map itself. The trip ended with Rob breaking his shoulder (see the titanium plate — the two together tell one complete story).

Why a new owner would be happy

• A piece of lived Japan history with a real human story attached — far more interesting than a clean atlas.
• The handwritten annotations make it one-of-a-kind.

Condition: well-worn from the trip — cover edge wear, annotated, used. The wear is the value here.
