Walking Meditation: Enjoy Summer in Ikuta Ryokuchi Park

Four barefoot adults standing in grass and rain, happily posing without masks

Thanks to Andy for suggesting we visit Ikuta Ryokuchi Park; there are myriad hidden gems I had never previously seen! He and Miku even showed us a shortcut from the station to the park, whereby we have a quieter walk and bypass a traffic signal.

After storing bags and wallets in free coin lockers at Taro Museum, we walked to the grassy hill behind the big protective sculpture.

So glad that everyone enjoyed themselves, including the rain!

After walking over a hill, we enjoyed the carpet-like grass near a rice field.

From the top of a 3 story tower, which itself was on top of a hill, we noted some brown trees.

Rinko Park in Yokohama

Details

Let’s enjoy a morning walking meditation in Rinko Park! This will be a chance to feel grounded and connected to the ocean.

This will be the first “official” Walking Meditation event during Barefoot Rob’s walk across Japan.

Enjoy meditative motion, sea breeze, and hopefully sunshine.

Bonus!

After the meditation, I plan to walk barefoot ~20km from Rinko Park in Yokohama to my house in Kawasaki. Join me for any or all of the walk!

Google shows it will take less than 5 hours to walk, so we can probably easily do it with just 1 or 2 breaks for snacks / lunch.
