Entries this day: online-i-group the-list thunderrabbit.com online i group 11:14 Thursday 15 September 2016 JSTJust had online I-group; I've been on the weekly call for about a year now. Awesome connection. Well, these days my e-physical connection isn't so great; I call in from Wired Cafe because the call starts 30 minutes after my English class ends and I'm too far away (at currently available technology) from my house to do the call from there. permalinkthe list 11:41 Thursday 15 September 2016 JSTThe List by Michael John Grist is now available! This is the fifth book in his Zombie series starting with The Last, and it's possibly The Best! This book really drives the characters forward, facing their greatest fears head-on as they leaving loved ones behind, stepping into a fight for their survival. I love the care Grist puts into little details, bringing the characters to life in the real world, with great subtle foreshadowing! I notice more little details on my second reading. As applies to all Grist's novels, the characters are relatable, lovable, and mortal! I really want to shout at them to do the right thing or in some cases not do the wrong thing! One or two scenes had me woozy with the gore. Real blood and real face-to-face fights for life. And then there's the character arcs, and the plot surprises! I bet you didn't see _(spoiler redacted)_ coming! Or what about _(spoiler redacted)_? Can you believe it? This book will stand on its own, but you really should pick up the whole series; more books are coming and I can hardly wait! permalinkthunderrabbit.com 13:35 Thursday 15 September 2016 JSTBack before the World Wide Web popularized The Internet, we had BBS on Fidonet. The best BBS in my world was The Castle of Dreams. Some years ago, I made an homage to Castle of Dreams on thunderrabbit.com. That's because I created the character Thunder Rabbit specifically to participate on The Castle of Dreams. Featuring https, the latest version of Mediawiki, and an "amazing" array of navigation routes, The Castle of Dreams is ready for exploration! 14:40Sweet. Now if we visit via http it will refresh to https. And I added a link from https://thunderrabbit.com/ top page to the Dragon run-way of the wiki. Get it? Run way? Where dragons run? If I did it again now I might make it "Dragon run way" without a hyphen, but I'm not going to change it right now. I gotta run to next lesson. permalinkprev day next day |
