Entries this day: dream-baseball-with-travis first-lesson-in-lazona zzz-programmatically-added-slider-not-respected 日本語を勉強しました dream baseball with travis 07:59 Saturday 11 April 2015 JSTIn a slightly enclosed area, Travis and I were playing a version of baseball. We would each take one turn at bat, and keep track of where our ghost players had made it around the bases. We were pretty well tied, though we kept getting hits. It was my turn at bat, and someone gave me a broken bat as a joke, so I used it as a joke and got a pretty good hit, making it to third base, though Travis tagged home base before my ghost runner would have made it there. I was sure next time I could make it to first, and therefore my ghost on third would get a run. permalinkfirst lesson in lazona 08:14 Saturday 11 April 2015 JSTThrough a school called Temperance and Effort I'm scheduled to have a first lesson today in Lazona. I don't have any details on the student, but we'll see how it goes! 11:30Nice lesson; she's recently been inspired to study, so I look forward to helping her! permalinkzzz programmatically added slider not respected 01:29 Sunday 12 April 2015 JSTI posted this at https://answers.unity3d.com/questions/945007/programmatically-added-sliderjoint2d-not-respected.html How can I make sprites fall straight down, and resist any sideways motion whether by dragging or physics? My code instantiates a prefab at runtime which has an attached script. The script runs the following function after a while: void addSliderJoint() { myVerticalSlider = gameObject.AddComponent After this functions runs, I'd like the sprites to only move vertically, but they seem happy to move without restriction. I can "see" the SliderJoint2D in the inspector during runtime, and if I change its settings in the GUI, the sprites suddenly respond to it.
