To do today:

1. extract the core layout xml into their own mergable xml files:

   1. main menu
   2. japanese language menu
   3. menu with pagination
   4. other language menu

2. create a go home class and layout that looks like the bottom buttons class

3. create a wrapper menu with a home button, like the one with bottom buttons

4. tell the info/about/other menus to use that instead of bottom buttons

5. tell the main menu to use its new layout

6. tell the japanese language menu to

   1. extend MenuWithHomeButton
   2. expell resulting useless code
   3. use its new layout
   4. expell resulting useless code

7. tell the pagination menu to

   1. extend MenuWithHomeButton
   2. expell resulting useless code
   3. use its new layout
   4. expell resulting useless code

8. tell the other language menu to

   1. extend MenuWithHomeButton
   2. expell resulting useless code
   3. use its new layout
   4. expell resulting useless code

9. wipe out the old system of doing things

10. go to lunch

11. save my work

12. compile and test

13. join the recording industry

1. confirm with Nate the layout of menus
2. design those menus using techniques above
3. code + build + test
4. tweak main menu to display play if recordings exist
5. design system for record/review/save audio

Well, crapdogs. I got through nearly my entire list in record time, but then for some reason the English version of the app stopped working. Gah. And then the layout started to go wonky. I didn't touch that part of the code, did I?

I think English hasn't been used since I put country codes in the app, but I think I accounted for that.... It's just like, "oh we can't find the default resource for any of your drawables." BUT They're all right there!!!!!!

I think the issue was some *other* drawables were *not* in the default folder though they were in the default-ja folder. The error was about some resources that *were* in it, so they were confusing me.
