Entries this day: Productive Taiko!!! zzz_finished Productive 1:48pm JST Wednesday 27 October 2010 (day 14826)
4:44pm JST I got much further in the project today; I can view all records, delete a record, and display one to edit, all via json requests from the server. Last step is to save a record via json. So far I have it encoded and sent to the server, but the server can't yet decode it. Well, actually it decodes down to a serialized string, but not beyond that; I need to deserialize the string and put it into an array. I wonder if there's a function for that, but right now I'm not online. permalinkTaiko!!! 8:51pm JST Wednesday 27 October 2010 (day 14826) Thanks to Colleen being awesome and coming to Japan, meeting Cyndi who is almost as awesome (98% as much?), we are in a taiko fucking drumming class!!! Actually, after 1.5 hours of lesson, I'm chillin' on the side, and Colleen is too, but *she* is playing the air drums and paying attention, which makes sense because she exclaimed, "I've just found my new hobby!!" Good thing she lives in a city that's likely to have a taiko group or two. This instructor has been playing for 26 years, and recently taught The Black Eyed Peas on their recent tour to Japan. 10:28pm JST Wednesday 27 October 2010 (day 14826) And *now*, after having a lovely dinner in an 井境や, paid for by the lovely Divi and Cyndi, they have Colleen who will do taiko with Cyndi again tomorrow, and I'm heading home. permalinkzzz finished
HI _____
I hope you're doing well.
After I solved the cross-server problem I was having, this took about
3 more working hours to finish. Clearly, my overall time was more
than 5 hours, but most of that was researching how to do cross-server
ajax requests, which I hadn't had to do in ________. My total time
spent on this was 14 hours (including research). As we will be
working as a team, we'll greatly reduce the amount of time doing this
type of research. :-)
Talk to you soon
