Entries this day: Do_today Kohinoor Seikaido Shibuya i-group Do today 12:30pm JST Monday 12 January 2009 (day 14173) I did reiki charging this morning, for the first time in a while. A difference: my left shoulder has healed from last time I was doing chargings.. Apparently I had stretched it in a weird way, but now I can do the upper back and have no pain. Today Fred and I are going to chow at the Indian restaurant (Kohinoor) near Motosumiyoshi, and then head to Shibuya / Shinjuku for internet / buy some art supplies from Seikaido. Then either drop him off at the internet cafe or he goes home while I go to my men's group, this time in Oomori to support Takeshi after his wife's death last week. permalinkKohinoor 2:17pm JST Monday 12 January 2009 (day 14173) Now finishing our meal at Kohinoor. Fred said he likes pretty well. At first he wanted 4 (four) nan, but I suggested he start with one. Ended up getting three, and I helped him finish the third. permalinkSeikaido 4:43pm JST Monday 12 January 2009 (day 14173) Funny: in Shibuya, headed to Shinjuku, I missed the train that Fred got on; I was headed to the front car, but I mistimed the door closing noises that occur starting well before the doors close. Fred saw me on the platform and waved as the train went by; I didn't notice him then, but was glad to see him mock-laughing at me as my train arrived in Shinjuku 3 minutes after his had. Went to Seikaido in Shinjuku and got some new markers and white paper boards for me, plus some erasers for Fred's roommate, and an eraser for Fred. Then some cute cards for various people. The erasers were for some small pencils that Bill has. He likes to have a pencil on him at all times, and these little mechanical pencils fit the bill perfectly. The erasers, like any pencil erasers are cute and round, but unlike most other mechanical pencil erasers, even when new, these erasers are pretty short. I guess their shortness matches the pencils' shortness. permalinkShibuya 5:50pm JST Monday 12 January 2009 (day 14173) Back in Shibuya after the art store, Fred wanted to take a video of Shibuya crossing so we did that on the way to getting some お好み焼き. I had just one hour, but the timing worked out fine so we got a ぶたやき which Fred fashioned into a smiley face, a nice throwback from back in the day when he would ask me repeatedly to draw an "eyes eyes nose mouth." I'm on the 山の手 line now about to arrive in 品川, where I'll take the blue line to 大森 and meet Michael at 6:30. Fortunately I'll meet him because I forgot the instructions on my desk. permalinki group 9:42pm JST Monday 12 January 2009 (day 14173) This was the night we had I-group at Takeshi's house, the first I-group after his wife's death. He told us his experience in the last ten days. She had a heart attack while they were skiing, and then the difficulty of telling his kids who were waiting in the hotel at the time. "All last week, her body was right here in this room..." Hm! Right where we were sitting. Showed his kids a technique for calling her spirit when they want to have a chat, and how to send her back up when they're done. Basically just a placebo, I think, but. After Takeshi went, I talked about my concerns with planning stuff. It was pointed out that though leaving Houston was difficult, I think it was the right choice. And I may be making the right choice again by leaving Japan. Hmmm. Dubai, here I come? My basic problem with Ami is that I want her to change. Less drinking, and no TV. permalinkprev day next day |
