Entries this day: Nihongo_work_email Nihongo work email 11:55am JST Thursday 13 March 2008 (day 13868) Finally some Japanese! Recently, I have gotten blogger almost working on blosta2. I have made some changes to fix the code, but I don't have a good method to copy those changes to blosta, nor to blogger. Until last month, I had a semi-okay method to copy between blosta and blogger. It wasn't a great method, but it worked because they were on the same server. Now with two servers and three locations for the files, I really think we need a code management system. I prefer SVN because I know how to use it. Other systems would be okay if you think something else is better. I have a free SVN server that we can use. I tried to install an SVN client on the blosta2 server, but was unable to get it to compile. At this point, I see a few basic options: 1) I will continue to try to install SVN client to blosta2. (I have no idea how long it will take, and even after I do it, I would still have to install a client on the blosta/blogger server.) 2) Someone help me install a SVN client on blosta2 and blosta/blogger 3) Someone suggest a different code management system (client should work on OS X and Windows) 4) No code management system and just muddle along with no code safety-net I'll be happy to meet with you and discuss these options. - Rob! -- The love that you give is the pain that you release.permalink |
