Francois came back, and I was so happy to be holding him again. I spent a good deal of time just looking into his little plastic eyes because I knew it was a dream and I wouldn't be able to keep him when I woke up.

Then I was in a cafe where the cashier said, "oh, someone wrote a note about your rabbit," and I was like, "that's great!" but she didn't still have the note anymore, and couldn't remember the contents, except that Francois would be returned after the Olympics. I pulled a five dollar bill out of my wallet and gave it to her, saying, "next time, keep the note and give it to me."

I was at the bar drinking a coke and a little boy about 4 years old came up and put his straw into my drink and claimed it as his own. I looked at the drink and started laughing my ass off because he had also put a tea bag into it, with the basic plan of "grossing me out," so I wouldn't want it anymore. I was more grossed out that I was drinking coke in the first place than some kid put tea into it. His mom came up and apologized, but I told her he was a genius and would do well in life.

Work!!

Aight; pretty much focused on work related stuff all day today. Basically was given a new server and told to move our test environment over to it. It's a different setup of the OS, but I was able to find the httpd config, edit it to add some passwords to the new dirs I made, restart the httpd... then it took a long time to figure out how to configure mysql, but once I realized it wasn't running, things went a lot faster. Downloaded phpMyAdmin and it complained about being run in root mode with no password, so I fixed that. The password is like ***************, but with upper and lower case letters plus numbers and symbols instead of astrisks.

Then phpMyAdmin was saying "Your PHP MySQL library version 3.23.49 differs from your MySQL server version 4.1.20. This may cause unpredictable behavior." so now I'm trying to upgrade both PHP and its components to the latest versions. We're on version 5+ on the existing test server, so I hope if I go all the way to 5.2 that it will work with current test server code.

Fun times.

AND, during all this, I made a tarball of oscart installation for Dave (after changing the config file to match his server) so he can try to upload it to his yahoo server and hope it works. I told him it will either work or not work, but no halfway working biznass.

Wow wowowoowowwww

Thanks to Josh for finding this. I've just installed zenphoto to display the images on my site!!

It's so close to perfect that I'm ecstatic. It doesn't change *any* of my photos; it uses the names of the photos as the titles; it doesn't create any thumbnails in my directory structure. Just awesome, and it's only in version 1.5. I'm really really happy with this.
