Entries this day: 46060 David Today Zzz_Laura_chat 46060 1:28am JST Friday 28 December 2007 (day 13792) I've made it to 46060 words in my novel. Despite a post on nanowrimo, the final 5000 words aren't coming any faster than the first 45000 words, but I will admit I have fewer words to go than before (as promised in the entry). permalinkDavid 1:37pm JST Friday 28 December 2007 (day 13792) Made it back with 15,000 yen extra in my wallet. That's nice, and I met some cool kids as well, including David, who knoew a lot more about owrld politics than I, while I knew a lot more about internet than he. Nice chat on the bus and plane back to Tokyo. permalinkToday 2:43am JST Saturday 29 December 2007 (day 13793) Fell asleep while writing a chapter called "monkey" in my novel while on Toyoko Line on the way home. Ami met me at my apartment (Sakura House) and we took a nap for a few hours. Then she got up and made ramen while I typed a bit in my novel. Chowed yummy ramen, did dishes, did each other, and then cuddled and played silly games for a while until it was clear the weather would not become clear anytime soon, so she headed home in the drizzly rain. I wrote a bit more than 800 more words (the file monkey.txt now has 1146 words) for a total now of 47,427 words. I just need to write 1286.5 more words "tomorrow" and the next day to reach the goal of 50,000 words in my first draft. permalinkZzz Laura chat me: I want to thank you for encouraging me to write. Laura: Did
you get to 50K? me: I'm at

are easy, but I haven't found that to be the case. but anyway,
thank you, and I'll be glad to show you once I do an initial round of editing (spell check and
sanity check) Laura: Sounds
great, I'd love to see it. me: You'll be one of the few to really appreciate it, I hope You and Gary Scout Seven I can't find Nim nor
Deek... Laura: Heh. me: but I
really want to get their blessing for this but anyway, I'm
off to sleepin' land now. Laura: Who
knows, maybe there's a market for completely off-the-wall fantasy
novels. me: 3am
here. Laura: Maybe
you can market it as a kid's book. me: yah;
it's like fantasy sci-fi silliness and parts that just logically don't make
sense. true Laura: Nighty-poo! me: nighty
