Rice cooker

Ami and I bought a rice cooker today. For some semi-unexplicable reason, there isn't one in the community area of my building. I guess cause it would get all mucky with misuse and abuse. We bought one with a decently heavy duty cooker bowl thing and a setting for cooking the type of rice I had bought for the i-group shadow magician weekend in Kusatsu some months ago. The remaining rice had remained unused for those months until today; we cooked two cups and it turned out most deliciously.

There's still some rice remaining so I can chow it with my lunch tomorrow (leftover stew that Ami cooked today). ¤¹¤Ð¤é¤·¤¤¡ª

Writing day

I wrote some thousands of words in my novel yesterday (Sunday 16 December).. Perhaps four thousand words. This morning on the way to work I got a seat on the train (by going back a couple stations to Tsunashima (my original home station)) and wrote 370 some-odd words, about how Francois is a scientist at CERN (actually I want it to be the new facility that had a problem with magnets in their pre-test) and is taking a break now while the fix the rabbits. He only speaks French in the book; I'll need to get a translator to translate it.
