Yesterday on Galaxy Zoo, I came across an image that was way too zoomed in to make sense of it:

I zoomed out and got a better sense of it:

There are still five zoom-levels to available...  I know *I'm* surprised!

15 minutes later, a man named altymczuk replied back:

That is NGC 3556.  I think the Hubble Heritage site has an even clearer picture.

Wow. I'm pleased to imagine that some people know galaxies by name.

Status Ami

Ami has just arrived in Detroit. She was able to call me on her phone! I wonder what number she used to call; I can't call her from the US using her in-Japan number, but her caller ID still identified her as the Ami I know and love.

She doesn't think she'll be able to get to her next flight on time, but I'm still hopeful.

Amazing: I felt my phone ringing in my pocket even though I was busy vacuuming!

She'll be on the flight that arrives at 9pm.

Ma arrived, and we're chillin' until time to leave to get Ami.

Ami gazed out at the bigness of all the stuff / space in Houston as we took a while to find the location Maggie had suggested, but in the end it was closed so we went to big pink.
