Francois not on facebook

I tried to register Francois for Facebook, but they first said, "Francois Rabbit" is not a valid name, and then they said "you are not eligible to join Facebook." with no further explanation!

Perhaps it's because I said Francois is 2 years old.

I would love to find Ai, who suggested the name.

Holy Shit! Francois is 2 years old as of yesterday!

I've been telling people he is 4 years old, because that's about when Colleen sent him over.

Missed train

9:27am JST Saturday 16 June 2007 (day 13597)

Missed the train that I normally take at Sakurashinmachi, so I missed the express train I normally take from Shibuya. Got the local train that leaves 2 minutes later, and best I can tell from the marquee, it will not be passed by an express (this is the first of at least 3 consecutive local trains), but I still don't know if I will make it to work on time. I think I will. Still got 30 minutes to get there, and only 14 stations to go. Hmmm. Nevamind; that's cutting it close.

Today I have most of my favorite students from Kichijoji. Satoko, Mari and Chika, Yuria, Naori. No Kumiko, but 5 of 6 (counting M & C as two) is pretty great.

Of course no Tomoko, but she only takes Jamie's lessons.

I brought the marbles for Mari and Chika to work on THE vs A.

Work

Good lesson with Mari and Chika just now. I used the marbles to help them practice using THE and A, and extended to BOTH. They both need to work on this more.

Earlier, I had a new student named Akane; it's her second and last lesson before zipping off to NYC for a year or more to study dance.

Went to Starbucks with her for a sandwich and drink, then chatted with Naori.

Satoko was late, but she's here now.

Did a quick THE and A review with Satoko; I think she gets it, but there were a couple mistakes.

Then Yuria, in what I think will likely be our last lesson. She gave me an extra 10,000 yen for some editing I did for her a couple days ago. Definitely a nice bonus. Even so, I could hardly stay awake during the lesson because she was just reading and not engaging my brain even a little bit. Maybe a teeny tiny trace of a bit, but no more than that.

ami Before Pirates

Going to meet Ami in Roppongi now to watch Pirates Of The Carribean 3: World's End with her. She bought tickets a couple days ago, so we should have good seats.

We went to a sushi bar before the movie. There was a large fish tank behind the sushi chefs in which several fish were swimming. One fish was sometimes swimming, sometimes upside down. I commented on that to Ami, and the chef noticed, so he was like, [ya want me to chop it up for you?]

Only if I can get it on video.
