The good news: I transferred 216,000 yen to my new GoLloyds account, 2,000 of which they will enjoy, and the rest of which will be converted to USD (not sure who enjoys the money skimmed there) and then sent to my US account, who will likely enjoy between $10 and $25, I'm guessing took $10.

According to their website:

So I should end up with at least $1,800 in my account at home.

And every penny can go to my credit card.

I just checked; the cash has already hit my bank, and I've already sent it toward my credit card. And I just called my credit card company and asked if they can drop my interest rate. They did, from 16.49 to 12.99.

Silly me for getting a low rate while I have a low balance. Hmmm.

Ah well; I'm getting my finances sorted.

JungleDisk makes my Amazon S3 account look just like a hard drive on my computer. A realllly big hard drive with a slow access rate. I'm currently copying my entire iTunes library there. I have this idea that I can just move my computer to S3 and not worry about backups whatsoever.

Yes, I don't always have internet access, but I'm not moving *everything* there. Just big things to evaluate the viability.
