Dream monk

10:35am JST Monday 2 October 2006 (day 13340)

On a tropical island with PB peeps, walking back to my cabin along a narrow road, a car started to curve towrd me and lie squish me against the wall, and I yelled at him to get away from me. He baced off, then came again, and I yelled obscenities each time at him and it was alsmost like he thought I was calling him to me, but I uust wanted him to get the hell out of my way.

I turned toward my cabin and he stopped and got out to try and see if he could help, and I was angry at first but then disarmed when I saw he was a monk, who apparently only spoke Spanish. I tried to back track, but couldn't do it, and then just cried that I was scared when he was trying to squish me, and I'm all alone on this trip around the world. He wrote for me his email adress on a train ticket, and I gave him my gmail address only so he couldn't ikely find my domain and see my journal and find that I was not in fact alone on the PB trip around the world.

I didn't want to admit having lied to a monk.

Dream walk China

10:36am JST Monday 2 October 2006 (day 13340)

Leaving the same area, this time given a ride up the same road, I was getting a ride partway to teh border between east and west China

                                                                       ************
                                                              *********************
                                          ...........******************************
                                     .....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                   .....
************************............
******************
******

The map looked something like that, with ----- being the actual border (east and west??) and **** being populated area and .... being unpopulated area. My driver was in a van, taking me to basically the left side of this map, and a little ways toward the east, and I would have to walk east and then cross the border toward the north and then continue east until I found something. The van was literally unable to drive on the ..... area; the road was too narrow and precipitous. (*)

We stopped in the same cabin from the previous dream, and my bag knocked over a crystal glass which did not break; I cleaned up the water with a napkin I had kept and squeezed the water back into the glass and gave it to Robento in the kitchen, who was chillin' kicked back in a chair with a bunch of PB people and YRUUers around. He poured the glass into his own lap to show off his new waterproof pants and I gave him the sponge which had been a napkin.

Richard, my driver, started speaking Spanish fluently with Robento, and I tried to learn some vocabulary.

(*) not sure I've ever used this word before.

Great Uncle Bill

11:11am JST Monday 2 October 2006 (day 13340)

It took me a second (couple minutes) to remember who he was after Fred sent me a quick "Call Ma" email. Oh.. I remember he lived in a nice house and we would come over to see Christmas decorations. I never felt super close to them, perhaps because we had to "be on best behavior" and stuff, but yeah the food was good and the cushions on the couches were soft.

William Frederick Ellis obituary

Ah; I am reminded that Fred is named after Dr Frederick Glynn Ellis, (Great) Uncle Bill's father.

今日、仕事はよかった。アミが一時間、後アキコが80分間話した。アミは明日も会う。アキコは面白く新しいことばを教えてくれた。

I received a white chocolate Kit Kat and a cute Pooh Bear calendar for 2007. I can actually start using the calendar now in October, but I still have Hitomi's even cuter calendar that she made for me. I like it better than any other calendar I've had.
