Enjoyed a 30 minute chat with Kris today on Skype. She's going to be doing a cool conference in Vancouver around the time Oh My Gaudrey and PB 52 rolls in! Told her about my upcoming trip to Bali, and she seemed relatively entertained with my coin toss technique of deciding if I should accept. She told me a bit about the Pepy Ride she did with Maryann and Pat down in Louisiana recently. Sounds awesome!

She's going to apply for PB 55th I think.

Told her about my 1-day mystery shopper job in Harajuku tomorrow; I hope it goes well!

Enjoyed a 30 minute chat with Petra today on Skype. She's looking for a job and will be going to London soon, hopefully. If not, she'll move to OZ for a year, though I don't know what city. I signed her brother up for a gmail account.

She greatly encouraged me to *not* just get a teaching job at an eikaiwa. Suggested I would be happier working with youth or the like. How fantastically right she is, that Petra. Sigh. Can I do it in Japan?

Today I have been working on some new code, which, so far, does nothing. But hopefully I will come up with something that displays the photos on my website.

I have decided to "fuck what other people think" about the photos, when I was wondering if I should let people rank favorites and tag them, etc... but I will make it essentially easy for people to tag them via del.icio.us and/or other social bookmarking systems.

Right about now, I am designing the databases. I'm trying to design them so my journal entries could be displayed in a similar way, allowing them to be linked to locations, events and tags.

Pretty good work today on the images project... Forward progress in general, though slow, seems continuous. Working on the database tables recently. Ended up with ... 11 tables I think. Holy shit.

Just found this article, Online Persona Undermines a Resume, and wondered for one microsecond if I should therefore remove any content from my site.

I realize I am not willing to remove anything in an attempt to look good for employment purposes, yet at the same time I do sometimes censor some things per the (implicit) request of other (innocent) people involved.
