Woke up naturally at 3:30am and then again at 6:am. Made little attempt to remember dreams, but just relaxed and read a chapter of _Speaker for The Dead_.

Daniel is feeling better (went to bed feeling a bit ill last night) and Carl is still crashed out. I don't know what time he came back.

We had our first time change last night; that affected the time I woke up, I am sure.

I'm enjoying the character named Ender; he seems to have his shit together.

Breakfast now. Interviews start at 9am. Many of the pictures of students that Carl and I have look like mugshots; I'm sure the real people will be much lovelier.

Finished the interviews for today. Our first one remained number 1 for all ten, and the last one pushed everyone else back, as she took the number 2 position.

Most of the interviewees were still quite Japanese in their responses.

Have been reading for about an hour up on the top aft deck. Ken asked me if I would massage his lower back; I did happily... I could give massages for part of my living.

Reusing bottles

I dropped overboard a plastic bottle with a note inside, basically, "If you find this bottle, please email me!" then gave an email address and a bottle number. Bottle 2 went first, and I plan to drop bottle 1 tonight. They both say 30 December 2005, and both say "near Taiwan" as the drop point.

GET Meeting was good; I think we are a lot more productive then we generally were on the 49th, but I don't know if that will change as the group matures (immatures).

Daniel had a wooden cube puzzle that he took apart for me. It's similar to some of the ones grandad showed me and Fred. I think Fred has them all now. I'm going to try to work on it starting right....

Ug. I'm completely stuck on this puzzle. I can see a pattern in which all the pieces will fit exactly, and I can get them all together, so long as I leave one out. It seems super frustratingly SO close!

Tonight we are changing timezones AGAIN! This is the second timezone change of the voyage; the first was last night.

I'm going to bed early; I just seem disinterested in doing anything upstairs with anyone; it would just be me flirting with girls, and leading my brain down various paths that I've been down before...
